About Linda Hobbs
- I was born in Cambridge in 1959 and married in 1983. I am mum to Mathew, born in 1984 and Samantha, born in 1987
- I
am a trained NNEB Nursery Nurse and have worked in a variety of roles
including nanny, childminder, key worker on a children's behavioural
unit and a reception class assistant.
- I
did my doula training in 2000 and have worked a postnatal doula since
January 2001. I have supported over 70 families since then, all with
individual needs.
- I joined Doula
UK at its inception in 2001 and I was the Regional Representative for
Cambridgeshire for two years. I was then the Treasurer for 5 years and
am now a postnatal assessor/mentor for trainee doulas.
- As a postnatal doula I bake a mean cake, iron a good shirt and read a good story.
- Most
of all, I am committed to making the time after birth as positive,
enjoyable and stress free for the whole family as possible.
- I am now semi-retired and will therefore only be available from April to October.
